Actually, this too is fine, as long as you don't make some sections unreadable.

Whatever you use, just make sure that you maintain some consistency in font vs background contrast, so the text is readable.

Bring back the old one, but make sure the text areas, links, buttons etc are readable for average user

I don't know what you are doing. Even now, some parts are unreadable. See this screenshot for example. Can you actually read the "Code" section?

File attachments are not working at the moment. Anyway, do check the post about OpenBSD installation. You'll see what I am talking about.

One useful thing we had in the previous theme / layout was the links to New posts and today's posts. With that I could easily check what is new on the forum. It would be great if you can add those links to somewhere visible. Maybe as one of the links at the top navigation?
