Red Hot Chili Peppers early albums
Posted by: wizard - 02-13-2024, 09:06 PM - Forum: Rock / Metal - No Replies

Hey, I've always been a fan of Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I think that albums after the Blood Sugar Sex Magik era are a bit, ugh... gay... They're uh sweet and melodic, but there's no power that older albums had.

I've been listening to Mother Milk and it's ok, but their first album and The Uplift Mofo Party Plan are nice.

I should listen to more 80s rock music.

List of web browsers with screenshots!
Posted by: wizard - 02-11-2024, 12:54 AM - Forum: Guides - Replies (3)

*This is just a generic list for now; to be updated with more web browsers*

Hey. Here is the list of web browsers that I've used and tried out. I will try to add more and more till I manage to write a full list. I am going to ignore stuff like politics, philosophy, evil rust dependency, go programming language, firefox or chrome existence that shouldn't be acknowledged, (because they're controlled by greedy, evil corporations) for now. I will create another post about this in the future.
Just a list of web browsers
I am going to include ircnow screenshots, as that wiki had been designed for text console browsers like lynx. I will start with the most lightweight to the most bloated for web surfing. I will start with text/console web-browsers on top.
Porter Wrote:Lynx is a customizable text-based web browser for use on cursor-addressable character cell terminals. As of 2023, it is the oldest web browser still being maintained, having started in 1992." | https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynx_%28web_browser%29

"wiki.hyperbola.info Wrote:Iceweasel-UXP is a browser application built on the Unified XUL Platform.
Historically, Iceweasel was a re-branding of Mozilla Firefox by the Debian project, with minimal modifications, in order to resolve branding disputes. Debian since discontinued Iceweasel in February of 2017 after reaching an agreement with Mozilla over the use of it's trademark.
The Hyperbola Team continued the Iceweasel branding in the spirit of cultural freedom for several months. However, inconsistencies were discovered, including the use of non-free fonts in Debian's Iceweasel logo. Since Debian no longer supported Iceweasel and was encouraging users to install Mozilla Firefox Quantum, we decided to look into creating a proper fork.

Irc clients and connecting to irc servers
Posted by: wizard - 02-06-2024, 11:20 PM - Forum: Various HOWTO? - Replies (10)

*To be updated*
Here you go
So the first thing is to download irc client like
[Image: Screenshot-2024-02-08-23-29-03.png]
(These are the ones I've tried, more are available)

Then we have to connect to server, let's say:

Server name:
irc.bsdforall.org
Port: 6697

Later we gotta join any channel you like

Channel
: #bsdforall
Channel: #bsdforall-support
Here you go!

More detailed info
about various irc clients can be found there: http://wiki.ircnow.org/index.php?n=Irc.Clients

How to add a server?

These are guides for bouncer, but can be a good guide for adding any other servers (*Gonna update with screenshots of bsdforall soon*)

Web client:
It's possible to connect #bsdforall using theseweb-clients:
